The National Museum of Finland

The National Museum of Finland is one of the largest Finnish museums located in Helsinki right across the street from the Finlandia Hall. The National Museum houses exciting permanent exhibitions representing the cultural heritage of Finland, and also interesting, often modern and more specific temporary exhibitions. Together, the different buildings, castles and exhibitions operated by the National Museum of Finland exceeded 680 000 visitors in year 2017.

My responsibilities first as a graphic design trainee and later a graphic designer of the museum was to produce design and marketing materials for exhibitions including "Come to Finland!", "Prehistory is here!" and "The Public and the Hidden Finland" among others. I also got to create packaging design work for various products to be sold at the museum shop. The work also included quite a bit of photography.
